Fuzzy Productions, LLC
Oklacon is produced by Fuzzy Productions, LLC, an independent limited liability company devoted to the continuation and growth of valuable organizations, such as Oklacon's designated charity, that directly contribute to the quality of life of the furry fandom, disadvantaged animals, and the overall community. Fuzzy Productions is governed by a group of long-time Oklacon attendees, long-time Oklahomans, and long-time members of the furry fandom, who serve the organization equally to actively seek feedback and participation to shape Oklacon each year.
While Fuzzy Productions, LLC is incorporated not as a tax-exempt charity organization, but as a limited liability corporation, the members of the organization earn no personal profit from the operation of the company or the production of Oklacon, as dictated by the organization's Articles of Organization and Operating Agreement. Proceeds from the numerous charity events we host are donated directly to Safari's Wildlife Sanctuary in Broken Arrow, OK on behalf of this event.
Oklacon itself is planned, organized, and executed by the Oklahoma furry community and our friends who live in nearby states who make Oklacon their furry convention home. While the drudgery of IRS tax filings and vendor contracting is a task relegated to the Fuzzy Productions production company, virtually anyone can step up to take ownership of the various areas of the convention's planning, logistics, publicity, or act as an area "department head" to help make Oklacon happen in their own unique way. Of course, independent of the year-round work there is to producing the weekend-long fundraising event we do for Safari's Wildlife Sanctuary, the success and continuation of Oklacon is in large part due to our loyal and committed attendees and our volunteers, who dedicate their paws and hearts to Oklacon and its charity on-site at the convention. Without the generosity of these hearty souls, our efforts could not be realized.
