Watonga is a small, friendly city just a few minutes drive from the group camp site of Oklacon. We encourage our registrants looking for accommodations and dining options to consider patronizing the fine establishments located just down Highway 8 in Watonga.
- Watonga Motel offers extended lodging options, including extra-large and luxury bed and breakfast rooms on the second floor of the historic Noble House Hotel. Those Oklaconers seeking extended lodging options and rooms with up to 400 square feet of space should check out the Watonga Motel.
- Western Inn is a great motel offering king and double bed rooms, 31 of which are brand new units. This establishment has a Pizza Hut on-site, which has an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet option for those Oklaconers seeking a departure from the staple camping foods, chili's, and BBQ's included with the cost of admission for Oklacon. Reservations
To reserve a room at one of these establishments in the City of Watonga, you must directly book a room with the motel, as you would with any other motel. When you do book your accommodations, please mention you're with the "Oklacon Group". While the convention may not always negotiate group rates with these establishments unless preregistration numbers are strong enough to necessitate such a relationship, it is good practice to let local Watonga businesses know you are with our group so if we do end up forming agreements with these establishments, they know how many rooms are affected by the change.
